Child Dies After 2-Vehicle Crash In Huntington Area: Police
Police say four people went to the hospital, one of which was the child who died.

HUNTINGTON, VA — A child has died after a Wednesday morning crash in the Huntington area, according to Fairfax County Police.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 7 a.m. in the 5900 block of Richmond Highway near Mount Eagle Drive. Initial investigations determined the driver and passenger in a Ford Crown Victoria were traveling north on Richmond Highway when the driver lost control on an ice covered area of the roadway. The car went into the southbound traffic lanes and crashed into a Hyundai Elantra.
The adult female driver and a child in the Elantra were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the child later died of the injuries. A teenage passenger in the Elantra and the driver of the Crown Victoria were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
