Coffee With A Cop Day Planned For Mount Vernon District
Officers from the Mount Vernon station will be at three locations for National Coffee with a Cop Day on Oct. 3.

Fairfax County Police and other law enforcement agencies will participate in National Coffee With a Cop Day on Wednesday, Oct. 3. Whether you have a question about a police incident or just want to know your local officers, it's a way to meet police in good circumstances.
The Mount Vernon District Station will be participating in National Coffee with a Cop Day at two locations. Capt. Matthew Owens, 1st Lt. Camille Neville, MPO Robert Urps, PFC Monica Meeks and other officers from the Mount Vernon District Station will be on hand to talk.
The locations are Starbucks (7511 Richmond Highway), Starbucks (6754 Richmond Highway) and Dunkin Donuts (1500 Belle View Boulevard). Hours are 8 a.m.-10 a.m.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is dedicated to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public. It started in 2011 in Hawthorne, Calif. and expanded to all 50 states in 2016. The annual event is held the first Wednesday of October.
