Crash With Fire Truck In Groveton Causes Multiple Injuries

A fire truck and multiple vehicles were involved in a Richmond Highway crash Thursday evening, reportedly causing eight injuries.

GROVETON, VA — A crash involving multiple vehicles and a fire truck caused injuries Thursday evening on Richmond Highway in Groveton.

The crash happened at Richmond Highway and Memorial Street, which is just south of the Beacon Center shopping center. A Fairfax County Fire and Rescue truck and three other vehicles were involved. WTOP reported that eight people were injured.

Fairfax County Police said one person who was in critical condition improved to non-life-threatening injuries.

It was unclear what led to the crash. Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives were on scene to investigate.
