Last month, on two separate occasions, the main runway at Reagan National Airport needed repairs during peak travel time. Outbound flights were delayed and inbound travelers were forced to divert to other area airports. The runway issues at DCA are indicative of the problem localities across the country are facing due to a failure to substantially invest in our nation’s crumbling infrastructure.
Our infrastructure is the lifeblood of our economy. It impacts our quality of life, the competitiveness of our businesses, and the safety and security of our country. All this while spurring economic growth and creating well-paying jobs.
