Delivery Driver Beaten, Robbed In Hybla Valley

A group of men tried to buy a delivery driver's food with fake money. Then they attacked him, police say.

A delivery driver was attacked and robbed in Hybla Valley Friday night, Fairfax County Police say.

The driver had been making a delivery around 7 p.m. in the 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue. Four men approached and offered to buy the food for $100. The victim realized that the money was fake with foreign symbols.

That's when the group attacked with pepper spray and beat him. During the assault, they took his money, license, and credit cards. The group fled afterward.

Assault on law enforcement: 2709 Popkins Lane at the Bryant Alternative School, 06/01/18, 7:58 a.m. The school resource officer was called to the principal’s office at the Bryant Alternative School. As the officer arrived, the offender, a 15-year-old boy, pushed the officer. When the officer tried to detain the student, the student kicked the officer several times. The student was taken into custody and turned over to a guardian. Petitions for assault on law enforcement will be sought.

Burglary: 4100 block of Westman Ct, 06/02/18, 11:00 p.m. A resident discovered someone entered her garage and vehicle and took property.
