Denny's Customers Robbed During Holdup
Police are investigating two armed robberies that took place Wednesday night along the Richmond Highway corridor.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Detectives are investigating reports of two armed robberies that took place late Wednesday night along the Richmond Highway corridor, including the robbery of customers during a holdup at Denny’s in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County.
First armed robbery at 7-Eleven store: 11:18 p.m.
The first robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven Store at 8226 Russell Road (see map below) at 11:18 p.m. Two men entered the store; one displayed a handgun and demanded money while the other apparently acted as a lookout, police said. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and there were no injuries, according to police.

Second armed robbery at Denny’s: 11:33 p.m.
The second robbery was reported at the Denny’s Restaurant at 7214 Richmond Highway at 11:33 p.m. Two men entered the restaurant; one displayed a handgun, police said. One suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and from customers, while the second suspect took additional cash from another area in the business, according to FCPD. There were no injuries.

In both cases, police said the suspects were described as black, 20-30 years old. One was about 5 feet 8 inches tall and around 160 pounds, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a mask. The second suspect was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 150 pounds, wearing a green, hooded sweatshirt and a mask.
