Dog Found Shot, Chained To Fence In Woodlawn: Police
Fairfax County Animal Protection Police are searching for the owner of a dog that had been shot.

WOODLAWN, VA — A dog that was shot was found chained to a fence in Woodlawn Friday, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police had initially responded to a call from a resident who heard a dog barking and a gunshot, but a police search did not find suspicious activity. Then around 3:35 a.m. Friday, Animal Protection Police responded to a report of a dog chained to a fence at Bedford Terrace and Beekman Place. When officers found the dog had been shot, they removed him from the chain and took him to a veterinarian.
The dog, believed to be an adult Staffordshire terrier, remains in the care of the veterinarian.
