Richmond Highway Reopens After Downed Power Pole Snarls Traffic Monday

Dominion reported Monday morning that they would have a fix in place by 4 p.m. after a vehicle reportedly struck pole.

Richmond Highway reopened Monday after Dominion Power repaired a downed power pole that was blocking the roadway at Groveton Street.

Dominion noted that a vehicle accident was behind the downed pole and estimated that its work crew would complete their work sometime before 4 p.m. Monday. The downed pole had knocked out power to 68 homes, according to an outage map.

Morning commuters faced a Monday morning traffic snarl because Richmond Highway was blocked in both directions.
