Dozen Donuts For 80 Cents At Alexandria Krispy Kreme Friday
There's a sweet deal at your Alexandria Krispy Kreme this Friday to celebrate the anniversary of the glazed donut.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — It's been 80 years since Krispy Kreme introduced its signature glazed donut. Naturally, the donut chain will celebrate with an 80 cent deal.
Of course nothing in life is free (or 80 cents for that matter). Krispy Kreme is offering a dozen glazed donuts for 80 cents when you buy any kind by the dozen on Friday, July 14. The closest location for Alexandria residents is at 6332 Richmond Hwy. If you're working in DC, you can also stop by the DuPont Circle store at 1350 Connecticut Ave NW.
The first Krispy Kreme opened on July 13, 1937, and it started selling the glazed donut the next day, according to Thrillist.
