Concert

Focus Music concert featuring Al Petteway and Amy White, a folk and Celtic duo, 7 p.m., October 1, at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church. Tickets are $18 at the door or $15 in advance at www.focusmusic.org. Petteway and White perform a blend of original, traditional, contemporary Celtic- and Appalachian-influenced music. Their repertoire offers extensive instrumental work and features acoustic guitars, mandolin, Celtic harp, banjo, Irish bouzouki, piano and percussion.  They have won many awards.  Their music was featured throughout the soundtrack of the 2009 Ken Burns Emmy-winning documentary “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.” In 2010, their album “Caledon Wood” was counted among the essential albums of the past 20 years in the Acoustic Guitar Magazine 20th anniversary issue.  www.alandamy.com.
