Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre has assembled a cast of 43 young actors from ages 8 to 18 from 23 different area elementary, middle, high and home schools to rehearse and perform one of the most popular and heartwarming musicals of all time, The Sound of Music. This production, slated for six weekend performances November 11-20, marks the first time MVCCT has staged this show in its 32 year history. Chock full of songs we all love to sing, including Edelweiss, My Favorite Things, Climb Ev'ry Mountain and Do-Re-Mi, this show is sure to bring Mount Vernon, Fort Hunt and Hollin Hills alive with the "sound of music."
