Evacuations Follow Ruptured Gas Line In Groveton
Evacuations were a precaution after a construction crew struck a gas line.

GROVETON, VA—A gas line was struck and prompted precautionary evacuations Thursday in Groveton, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
The fire department tweeted shortly before noon crews were responding to the 6500 block of Tower Drive. An initial report indicates construction crews ruptured an approximately two inch gas line.
Fire crews evacuated the immediate area. There were no reports of injuries.
