This weekend's calendar includes the opening of Shocktober, Art on the Avenue, Virginia Wine Festival and plenty more seasonal events.
WASHINGTON, DC — As October kicks off, there are more ways to celebrate the season this weekend in Northern Virginia and DC.
We've rounded up local events happening Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3. This weekend includes haunted attractions like the start of Shocktober and Workhouse Haunt, numerous Oktoberfests, and fall festivals.
When heading out this weekend, be aware of mask policies. DC is requiring anyone 2 and older to wear a mask in indoor public places. Virginia is recommending but not requiring masks in indoor public places.
