Fatal Hybla Valley Shooting Of Lorton Man Leads To Arrest
Police have identified and charged a suspect in a shooting where the victim was found lying on a sidewalk.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — An Alexandria man is facing charges for a December fatal shooting in Hybla Valley, according to Fairfax County Police.
Malik Johnson, 22, of Alexandria, was identified as the suspect in the Dec. 5 shooting in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue. Detectives identified the suspect through surveillance footage and forensic evidence and charged Johnson with second degree murder.
Police had responded to the shooting around 8:02 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue when a resident found the victim lying on the sidewalk. Officers found the victim, Jordan Summers, 26, of Lorton, with upper body trauma. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Warrants to charge Johnson were obtained Thursday, and he was arrested Friday afternoon. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond. Police have not located the gun used in the shooting.
