FBI: Bank Robbed Monday at Hollin Hall

Incident took place in the morning; suspect covered his face with black Northface headband, FBI says.

The BB&T Bank at Hollin Hall shopping center was robbed Monday, according to a “wanted” flyer posted online by the FBI.

On Monday, Feb. 2, at 11:37 a.m., an unknown individual entered the BB&T Bank located at 7960 Fort Hunt Road in Alexandria, approached the teller and demanded money, according to the FBI. Upon receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the individual was last seen fleeing the bank on foot.

The individual is described as a black male, with a slim build and standing approximately 6’1” tall, the FBI noted. He was wearing a gray hat and a black jacket. Upon entering the bank, he pulled a black Northface headband down to conceal his face.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber.
