Flies Swarm McDonald's: Greater Alexandria Restaurant Inspections

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations from recent inspections in late June and early July. Among the violations were expired food discarded in an empty trash can and flies in the kitchen at McDonald's. These violations were corrected during the inspection. Also included are restaurants that had no violations.
