Free Food For A Year Promotion Planned For New Route 1 Wendy's

A Wendy's location opening on Richmond Highway in Fairfax County will have free food for a year for the first 100 customers.

GROVETON, VA — The first lucky customers at a new, remodeled Wendy's restaurant on Richmond Highway will get a chance to win free food for a year.

In honor of its nationwide remodel project, franchise owner Flynn Restaurant Group is awarding the first 100 customers who make a purchase with a free food for a year VIP ticket. The Wendy's at the Beacon Center, 6636 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA is expected to open and offer the promotion on Jan. 4, 2023. The location is also hiring for several positions.

For a chance to win, customers must be in line at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 when the dining room opens. Eligible customers are 16 and older. The free food for a year promotion allows a customer to receive a free sandwich, salad or breakfast biscuit once a week.

Renovations will provide a more modern design at Wendy's. These include dining areas with multiple seating options such as lounge seating and private booths and Coca-Cola Freestyle dispensers for customizable drinks.

Other Wendy's locations in the DC region owned by Flynn Restaurant Group are undergoing renovations and will have reopenings announced in 2022 or next year. These include Virginia locations in Alexandria, Annandale, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fredericksburg, Herndon, Manassas, Stafford and Vienna.
