Gas Line Struck By Construction Crews In Mount Vernon Area

Gas company crews are arriving to address the gas leak.

11:51 a.m. update: The leak has been fixed.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews are responding to a gas leak in Mount Vernon Tuesday morning.

A construction crew struck a 2-inch gas line in the 4000 block of Fielding Street, according to a fire department tweet at 11:06 a.m.

The situation is stable at this time. The gas company is arriving on scene to address the gas leak.

No injuries were reported.
