Greater Alexandria Restaurants Open Christmas Day, Christmas Eve 2022

If your family is looking or a holiday meal out or food packages to take home, here's what local restaurants are offering.

FORT HUNT, VA — Not everyone in greater Alexandria wants to spend hours preparing a Christmas feast, some families are on the road and others with holiday vacations coming up are looking for restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Most restaurants are closed on Christmas Day, but plenty also stay open for business to serve those who don’t celebrate the holiday or who would rather focus on their family and friends rather than cooking an elaborate, multi-course meal.

  • Della J's Delectables: Dinner packages serving six will be available for pickup on Dec. 23 or 24. The restaurant is closed on Dec. 25, Christmas Day. Orders are due by 2 p.m. on Dec. 20.
  • Cedar Knoll: Reservations offered on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
  • River Bend Bistro: Open on Dec. 24 and closed on Dec. 25 and 26.
  • Hollin Hall Pastry Shop: Open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 and closed on Dec. 25 and 26.
  • Mamma's Kitchen: Order holiday catering packages between Dec. 1 and 24. There is a minimum of 24 to 48 hours for placing advance orders.
  • Woodlawn Press Winery: Open on Dec. 24 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Dec. 25.
  • Dishes of India: Open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Other chain and franchise restaurants, ranging from fast-food to fine dining, and coffee shops are open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, unless otherwise noted. Some restaurants prepare multicourse meals for pickup; others have dine-in options; and others offer food and coffee on the go.
