Groveton Shooting With Injury Leads To Charges

Fairfax County Police have charged a suspect in an April shooting in a parking lot in Groveotn.

GROVETON, VA — An early April shooting in a Groveton parking lot injuring one person has led to charges.

The shooting happened around 11:55 p.m. on April 4 in the 6300 block of South Kings Highway. Officers found a man with lower body gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Detectives investigation revealed Michael Ryan, 31, of Alexandria, as the suspect. Police believe Ryan was in an argument with the victim and shot the victim.

Police arrested Ryan Wednesday and charged him with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was held without bond.
