Several thousand plants will be sold at wholesale prices. The proceeds will help Habitat of Northern Virginia build more homes for lower-income families in the local communities it serves including the counties of Fairfax and Arlington and the cities of Falls Church, Fairfax and Alexandria. The plants – all healthy and native to Northern Virginia – were gifted to Habitat NOVA by JLB Partners, a national real estate developer with a presence in the metro Washington, DC area.
“We are overwhelmed and grateful for the generous plant donation and support we have received from across the community to make this sale happen,” said Jon Smoot, Executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia. “These are great plants, at a great price for a great cause. With these funds, Habitat NOVA can build and rehabilitate more homes and provide more affordable homeownership opportunities for local families in Northern Virginia.”
