Hit-And-Run Driver Strikes Pedestrian In Hybla Valley: Police

A driver fled the scene after a pedestrian was struck, according to police.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — One person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Hybla Valley late Sunday.

Fairfax County Police responded to the crash involving a driver and pedestrian at Collingwood Road and Candlewood Drive around 11 p.m. The victim, an adult man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe the striking vehicle may be a Nissan SUV, with damage to the undercarriage and potential minor front-end damage. Detectives ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors for the pedestrian.
