Construction Workers Discover Human Remains In Groveton
BREAKING: Detectives are investigating human remains found near a homeless camp just off Richmond Highway.

GROVETON, VA—Police say human bones have been found near a homeless camp near Richmond Highway in Groveton.
Homicide detectives are on scene investigating at East Lee Avenue near Richmond Highway. Around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, construction workers were in a wooded area near a construction site when they encountered the remains. They first came across a wallet with an identification listing a homeless shelter's address and found the human bones.
Detectives are working with the medical examiner to identify the remains and determine the cause of death. It was immediately unclear how long the remains have been there.
