Huntington Apartment Building Fire Injures 1 Person
Saturday's fire resulted in one injury and $2,000 in damages, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

HUNTINGTON, VA — A fire at a Huntington apartment building caused one injury Saturday, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
Around 8:53 a.m., crews responded to the 2000 block of Huntington Avenue to smoke showing from the eighth floor of a 15-story high rise. Crews located a fire in the kitchen and extinguished it. One person went to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators determined the cause to be ignition of combustible materials on the stove top after a burner was inadvertently turned on. Damages were estimated to be around $2,000.
