Video: I-395 Pursuit Reaches Over 110 Mph, Ends In Crash

State police pursued a vehicle Monday afternoon, leading to the suspect vehicle crashing into another vehicle and hitting a guardrail.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pursuit of a vehicle by state police on Interstate 395 led to a crash with an uninvolved vehicle Monday afternoon.

The pursuit started near the Duke Street exit of I-395 when a state trooper spotted reckless driving from a 2020 Dodge Charger, according to Virginia State Police. When the trooper attempted the traffic stop, the driver sped up, leading to a pursuit. Police say the pursuit topped 110 mph and ended near the Boundary Channel Drive exit in Arlington. The Charger and another vehicle collided, leading the Charger to hit a guardrail.

The driver of the vehicle hit by the Charger was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Police detained four people, and charges are pending. Police took three loaded guns from the vehicle, including a ghost gun, an unregistered gun made from parts.

The pursuit and crash remain under investigation.
