Jollibee Opening In Lincolnia Moved To Upcoming Weekend

LINCOLNIA, VA — After a delay in opening by mid-June, Filipino fast food chain Jollibee is ready to open its Lincolnia location this weekend.

The location at the Plaza at Landmark shopping center (4809 Beauregard Street, Alexandria), will open Sunday. From Sunday to Tuesday, the first 100 customers will receive a buy one, get one free chicken sandwich coupon valid from July 1 to Aug. 31. A limited edition Jollibee tote bag will be given out with a purchase of $20 or more while supplies last.

This will be Jollibee's second Virginia location, joining one in Virginia Beach. It also joins the DC region's first location in Wheaton, Maryland.

"We received an incredibly warm welcome last year when we first opened our doors in the DMV with our Wheaton, Maryland location," said Maribeth Dela Cruz, the business group head at Honeybee Foods Corporation, which owns Jollibee. "We knew immediately that we wanted to offer a convenient location on the southern side of D.C. so that those who live, work and play in Northern Virginia could enjoy their Jollibee favorites without having to travel far."

Jollibee is known for its Chickenjoy, a fried chicken cooked to be crispy on the outside and juicy inside. That can be paired with sides like fries, mashed potatoes and rice. Chicken is also available as a chicken sandwich, or diners can opt for the spicy Chickenjoy and chicken sandwich varieties.

Other menu items include Jolly spaghetti made with a sweet sauce, ham, ground meat and hot dog; Palabok Fiesta with noodles, garlic sauce, sauteed pork, shrimp and egg; and burger steak with mushroom gravy. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, kids meals, sides and peach mango pie.

It's possible fans of Jollibee will line up to be the first to order the Chickenjoy or other menu favorites. At a recent Jollibee's opening in Vancouver, Canada, a line started forming the night before with some fans camping overnight.

Hours for Jollibee will be 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Dine-in and takeout service will be available. Visit Jollibee's website for more information.
