Kids Attempt Break-In At Closed Hybla Valley Store
Police say a group of boys broke the glass at a Safeway that closed last year.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—Police say a break-in was attempted at a closed Safeway in Hybla Valley Tuesday.
An employee at the Mount Vernon Square Center initially saw damage but did not report it. Then 4:37 p.m., the employee heard glass break and saw three boys trying to break into the store.
The boys fled when the employee confronted them. They have not been identified but are described as middle school aged.

According to Covering the Corridor, the store closed in March last year. The location, which opened in April 2006, had been identified as an underperforming store.
