Man Fired Gun From School Grounds In Fort Hunt: Police

FORT HUNT, VA — A man is facing charges after firing a gun from school grounds in Fort Hunt, according to Fairfax County Police.

The incident happened around 10:35 a.m. on Dec. 14 at Sandburg Middle School, 8428 Fort Hunt Road. Police say surveillance video showed a man driving an SUV into a parking space behind a school and firing a gun toward a neighborhood. The video then showed the man driving away.

Neither injuries nor property damage have been reported. On Dec. 15, police identified the suspect as Andrew Grauer, 48, of Fairfax and obtained warrants for possession of a weapon on school grounds and shooting a weapon on school grounds. He was taken into custody on Dec. 25.
