Man Hit By His Own Car While Fleeing Police: Video

A police cruiser caught the epic fail on video during a pursuit in Hybla Valley.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—Escaping from police didn't work out so well for one driver in Hybla Valley. Fairfax County Police say a man was hit by his own car while trying to flee from police Sunday.

In-car police footage captured the bizarre incident around 1 a.m. in the 2600 block of Arlington Drive. Police say an officer attempted to pull the car over, but the driver sped away. He jumped out of the car to flee on foot, failing to put the car in park. The video shows the man jumping out of the still-moving car and being struck. Even afterward, he gets up and continues running.

The driver, Isaac Bonsu, 30, of Woodbridge, came away uninjured but faces charges of DWI-3rd offense, drinking while driving with an open container, failure to stop at the scene of an accident and four others.
