Shooting In Hybla Valley Area Likely Not Random: Police

Fairfax County Police say the victim is stable, but there is no information on the suspect.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — A man was shot in the area of Groveton and Hybla Valley Thursday night, according to Fairfax County Police.

Around 9 p.m., officers were responding to the Lockheed Boulevard and Tavenner Lane for reports of gunshots. A man was found in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and his have improved to serious but stable.

Police say the shooting does not appear to be random. There is no suspect description available.
