McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market Prepares To Reopen In 2022

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — Farmers market season will return to the Sherwood Regional Library parking lot with the opening of the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market next Wednesday.

Starting April 20 through Dec. 21, the farmers market will be open 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, VA. This will be the second Fairfax County Park Authority-operated farmers market to open for the season, following the Burke Farmers Market on April 16. Eight other park authority markets will open in late April or early May.

The farmers market will have 18 vendors, according to its website. Vendors range from farms selling produce to baked goods and prepared foods.

• Memis Company Inc: prepared foods
• Misty Meadow Farm Creamery: prepared foods, dairy products, meat
• Ochoa Produce: vegetables, plants, herbs
• Salsa Las Glorias, LC: prepared foods
• Sharkawi Farm: fruit, herbs, plants
• The Fermented Pig: meat
• The Traveling Shepherd Coffee Company: coffee
• Three Way Farms: vegetables, herbs
• Twin Springs Fruit Farm Inc.: fruit, vegetables, herbs
• Valentine's Bakery & Meats: meat, fruit, baked goods

SNAP is accepted at this farmers market. Animals are not permitted at the farmers market, with the exception of service animals. Masks are not required, but customers are encouraged to be respectful of others and stay home when sick.
