McCutcheon/Mt. Vernon Farmers Market Has Extended Season Into December

Shoppers can continue to buy goods from farmers market vendors through most of December outside Sherwood Regional Library.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — Local residents will continue to find farmers market offerings around the winter holidays at the McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market. According to the Fairfax County Park Authority, the farmers market is one of three extended into December.

The McCutcheon/Mount Vernon Farmers Market, located outside the Sherwood Regional Library at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, VA, will be open through Wednesday, Dec. 21. The farmers market is open Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Other park authority-run farmers markets open in December are Reston Farmers Market through Dec. 3 and Burke Farmers Market through Dec. 17.

During the extended season, the farmers market will have new vendors offering various prepared foods. Other vendors will continue to offer products like winter squash, greens, apples, breads, meats and more.
