MD Man Fatally Struck By Car Near Woodlawn
Fairfax County police said the incident occurred at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Pohick Road.
WOODLAWN, VA ā A Maryland man is dead after police said he was struck by a car near Woodlawn on Friday night.
Fairfax County police said the incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Pohick Road.
According to police, a Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on Richmond Highway when it struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the highway at the intersection.

The pedestrian, identified as 67-year-old Anthony Williams, was taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition and later died. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured and remained on scene.
According to police, speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors for the driver. Police are still investigating whether the victim was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
