Mount Vernon Home Struck By Lightning: Report
Residents safely escaped when the fire broke out at their home Tuesday night.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—Lightning struck a Mount Vernon home as thunderstorms swept through the area Tuesday night.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded to the 3900 block of Maury Place for smoke and fire showing from the two-story house. All residents safely evacuated.
WJLA is reporting that four residents are displaced after the fire. There was no immediate word on the extent of damages.
