Mount Vernon Town Meeting Starts Off February
Hundreds of attendees are expected at this annual meeting with Supervisor Dan Storck and other leaders.
MOUNT VERNON, VA — Community members in the Mount Vernon District are invited to the 33rd annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 1. It will be held at Mount Vernon High School, 8515 Old Mt Vernon Road, Alexandria, VA 22309.
Hosted by Supervisor Dan Storck, the meeting features an exhibit hall with over 75 community groups and county agencies from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and speakers from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The speaker portion of the meeting will feature presentations, a question and answer session, and a virtual tour. Residents can have questions answered, learn more about local issues, connect with county agencies and interact with neighbors.
More than 300 people are expected to attend the annual meeting. Other leaders speaking will be Board of Supervisors Chair Jeff McKay, County Executive Bryan Hill, Mount Vernon District School Board Member and Board Chair Karen Corbett Sanders, New Fort Belvoir Garrison Commander Col. Michael Greenberg, Fairfax County Economic Development Authority President and CEO Victor Hoskins and Rep. Gerry Connolly.
