Pictured in the photo above is a new northbound shelter with solar panels for nighttime lighting, at the intersection of Southgate Drive and Richmond Highway. This expanded shelter will allow for both Fairfax Connector and WMATA’s REX riders to sit comfortably while waiting for either bus line. The existing shelter is expected to be removed and stored for “back-up” soon.

Other shelters to come are at the intersections of Richmond Highway and Sacramento Drive, Arlington Drive, and Lockheed Boulevard.
