Park Authority To Detail Park Plan For North Hill
With the rezoning of North Hill for a residential community, the park authority is planning what to do with a 12-acre park site.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — With the development at the North Hill site underway in Hybla Valley, the Fairfax County Park Authority is planning development concepts for a 12-acre park site.
The county has been working on replanning of the 35-acre site at Richmond Highway and Dart Drive for over a decade. In 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved rezoning of the site with an area for a park use. The development broke ground in August and will include 216 affordable rental apartments, 63 affordable senior independent living apartments, 175 market rate townhouses and a 12-acre park.
As part of the redevelopment effort, a public park was envisioned for the development's residents and broader community. The 12-acre park site was transferred to the park authority this year, leading to development concepts being created.
