West Potomac Gymnastics took third place at the Patriot District Gymnastics Meet at Lake Braddock Secondary School on Feb. 3 and fail to advance to the Northern Region Competition. Lake Braddock placed first, Woodson second, Lee fourth, West Springfield fifth, and Annandale sixth. The Top 2 teams from each District go to Regionals which are scheduled to be held at Lake Braddock Secondary School on Feb. 10.
West Potomac's Marien Voorhees placed third in All-Around individual competition, second in Beam, third in Floor, and fourth in both Vault and Bars. Teammate Monica Thompson placed sixth in All-Around, sixth in Beam, and seventh in Bars.
