Police: Man Shot in Richmond Highway Restaurant Parking Lot

Woodbridge man, 37, was taken to hospital in critical condition, police say.

Fairfax County Police detectives are investigating the shooting of a man last night in the parking lot of Fast Eddies at 6220 Richmond Highway.

The incident took place in the early morning hours, at around 1:50 a.m. Friday, May 15, according to police.

Police responded to a report of an altercation involving around 50 people in the parking lot as the restaurant was closing, police said. When they got there, police discovered that a man had been shot; he was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital in critical condition, Fairfax County Police said.

The man is 37 years old and from Woodbridge, according to police.

The man has since been upgraded to non life-threatening condition but remains in the hospital. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
