Police: Two Arrested After Leading Officers on Chase
The incident began at a local grocery store, where police say the two held up an employee at knifepoint Thursday afternoon.

Fairfax County Police report that two men allegedly robbed a grocery store and then took off in a victim’s car, disobeyed officers’ orders to stop, crashed the car and attempted to flee on foot.
The incident took place Thursday afternoon at about 2:14 p.m., at 2900 Arlington Boulevard, police said.
The incident began when the two men entered a grocery store, displayed a knife to an employee and demanded money, police said. The suspects took cash and fled in the victim’s vehicle, police said.

An officer located the vehicle traveling on Richmond Highway and attempted to stop it, according to FCPD. The suspects disregarded the officer’s signal to stop and attempted to elude the officer, police said.
The suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle on Richmond Highway near Fort Hunt Road, police said.

The suspects exited the vehicle attempting to flee on foot, but were taken into custody by officers.
Deonte Cox, 21, of Alexandria was arrested and charged with abduction by force, robbery, grand larceny of an auto, and felony hit and run. The second suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile, was charged with abduction by force, robbery, grand larceny of an auto, felony eluding police, and felony hit and run.
The victim of the hit and run accident and the juvenile suspect incurred non-life-threatening injuries.
