River Bend Announces New Year's Eve Menu

ALEXANDRIA, VA — River Bend Bistro & Wine Bar is celebrating the biggest party night of the year, New Year’s Eve, in style with a special menu. Guests who want to enjoy a friendly and warm atmosphere with great food and drink are being encouraged to book their tables early.

The menu will consist of five courses, all created by Executive Chef Caroline Ross. The price is set at $75 per person, with an additional $35 for Wine Pairing.

New Year’s guests can enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the popular bistro, where the party will be starting early and carrying on into the early hours:

• The New Year’s Eve 2015 menu starts with an Amuse, which is choice of Warm Crab Salad in a Choux Pastry, or Champagne Tendil & Lombardi Cuvée Rosé.
• The first course offers a choice of Lentil and Sausage Soup, or Shrimp and Sesame Toast with Alici Tempura.
• And the second course consists of either Truffled Spatzle and Duck Confit Cake, or Terrine of Smoked Salmon, Crème Fraiche and Caviar.
• The third course offers Seared Veal Loin with Wild Mushroom Risotto, or Lobster and Crab Linguine in a Lobster Cream Sauce.
• And to finish it off, guests will have a choice from two sumptuous desserts perfect for the occasion with the Baked Alaska or the Chocolate Mousse Cake, along with coffee.

Bill and Caroline Ross look forward to welcoming guests into their popular bistro, and they encourage early bookings because places are likely to fill up quickly.

River Bend Bistro & Wine Bar serves American-style food with a French and Mediterranean influence. It was founded by Bill Ross and Executive Chef Caroline Ross, who attended the prestigious École de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris, France, before opening the bistro.
