Robber Follows Resident Into Groveton Apartment Building: Police

Police say the suspect assaulted the victim during the attempted robbery.

A resident was followed into his apartment building during an attempted robbery Monday in the Groveton area, Fairfax County Police say.

Around 5:41 p.m., the suspect followed a man inside in the 2800 block of Fairhaven Avenue. The suspect demanded money and assaulted the victim, according to police. Afterward the suspect fled in a gray car. There was no clear description of the suspect.

Robbery: 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive, 03/04/19, 11:05 p.m. A delivery driver was delivering food in the area when he was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took his personal belongings as well as the food then ran away. The man is described as black, 18-25 years old, 5’10”-6’0”, with a slim build, wearing dark clothing, gloves and a mask.
