Crash On GW Parkway Turns Fatal In Fort Hunt Area
One person reportedly died in a crash on the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
FORT HUNT, VA—A person has reportedly died in a crash that shut down the George Washington Memorial Parkway Monday evening.
The crash happened on the parkway south of Tulane Drive, according to a 5 p.m. alert from the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination. WJLA is reporting that a taxi driver died. Two others were taken to the hospital, but the severity of injuries is unclear.

The crash shut down lanes in both directions. The lanes were reopened as of 8:05 p.m. Fairfax County Police tweeted that they're assisting U.S. Park Police.
