Shooting In Woodlawn Kills 19-Year-Old: Police
Detectives believe a 19-year-old man was shot during a confrontation in Woodlawn Saturday.

WOODLAWN, VA — A 19-year-old man was killed in a shooting Saturday in Woodlawn, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police were called to the 8300 block of Graves Street around 9:34 p.m. Saturday when a resident heard a gunshot and saw a person lying on the sidewalk. Officers found the man with upper body gunshot wounds and provided life-saving measures. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m.

He was identified as Darlin Ariel Diaz Flores, 19, of Annandale.
According to preliminary investigations, Diaz Flores was with friends when a confrontation happened with another person. Detectives believe the argument led to a shooting.

Police are seeking a suspect in the shooting. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man who was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
The police department's Victim Services Division was assigned to assist the victim's family.
