Sobriety Checkpoint Saturday Night in Mount Vernon Police District

Fairfax County Police plan to hold a sobriety checkpoint during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, they announced Friday.

The sobriety checkpoint will take place in the Mount Vernon District Saturday night. Police usually do not give details on the location of the checkpoint.

The Mount Vernon Police District is 26 square miles and covers the Richmond Highway Corridor from the City of Alexandria on the north to Fort Belvoir on the south. It contains Mount Vernon Estate and Garden, Woodlawn Plantation, Fort Hunt National Park, and Huntley Meadows Park.
