Stabbing At Mount Vernon High School Injures 1, Juveniles In Custody
A juvenile student has non-life-threatening injuries after a bathroom stabbing, according to police.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — Two juveniles are in custody after another juvenile was stabbed at Mount Vernon High School Wednesday, according to Fairfax County Police.
Officers responded to the high school around 1:17 p.m. for a report of a stabbing in a bathroom. According to a police statement, a student was stabbed after an altercation with another student. The student was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say two juvenile suspects fled from the school but were identified and taken into police custody. More information on charges will be provided as police continue the investigation.

The stabbing prompted shelter-in-place guidance briefly at the school, but it ended when police learned the suspects left the school. Police say there is no further threat to the school.
