Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Richmond Highway Area, 2 Charged
Police recovered a stolen vehicle and are investigating several robberies in the Richmond Highway area over the last week.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA — A stolen vehicle was stopped in the Richmond Highway corridor Thursday, leading to charges for two people, according to Fairfax County Police.
Around 5:57 p.m., an officer spotted a stolen 2002 Hyundai Elantra heading south on Richmond Highway around the 7600 block in Hybla Valley, according to police. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested two people while finding guns and ammunition inside.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, was charged with receiving stolen property, felon in possession of ammunition, theft of credit cards, unlawful purchase of firearm and driving without a license. A 21-year-old woman was charged with unlawful purchase of a firearm.

- Attempted robbery: 8768 Richmond Highway (Subway), 6/12/22, 10:33 a.m. A man entered the business, jumped over the counter and demanded money. The victim refused, and the man assaulted the employee as he ran out of the business. No money was taken. No injuries were reported.
- Robbery: 3100 Lockheed Boulevard (7-Eleven), 6/14/22 (time not provided). Three men entered the business, implied they had a firearm and took money as well as merchandise. The men fled the area in a silver minivan. No injuries were reported.
- Robbery: 6303 Richmond Highway (Walmart), 6/14/22, 10:29 p.m. A man took merchandise without paying. When confronted by a store employee, the man assaulted the victim and drove away in a tan sedan. The victim was treated for injuries not considered life threatening.
- Robbery: Evergreen Farm Place/Ladson Lane, 6/15/22, 4:32 p.m. Three juveniles approached the victim, assaulted him and took property. No injuries were reported.
