Stratford University Announces New IT Certifications

Stratford University is pleased to announce that is has recently added new IT Certifications to its program offerings at the Woodbridge, Falls Church and Alexandria campuses:

· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP);

· Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); and

· Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Stratford University's mission is to prepare students for rewarding careers by providing quality educational programs that meet the changing needs of employers in high-demand industries. Stratford instructors hold Master's Degree in cybersecurity and IT, with an average of 15 years in the Cybersecurity, Information Assurance and Information Security Space. The university’s professors are proficient in CISSP, CISA and CEH certification methodologies and boast a historical certification pass rate of 95%.

Bloomberg Business states the Cybersecurity Market is estimated to eclipse $155 billion by 2019 and SANS institute studies show that 84% of cybersecurity job postings require applicants to hold at least a bachelor’s degree, with certified professionals earning up to 20% more.

Stratford’s CISSP curriculum is divided into eight domains of learning:

· Security and Risk Management

· Asset Security

· Security Engineering

· Communications and Network Security

· Identity and Access Management

· Security Assessment and Testing

· Security Operations

· Software Development Security

The CEH program is an industry standard qualification obtained in assessing the security of computer systems, using penetration testing techniques.

The CISA designation is a globally recognized certification for IS audit control, assurance, and security professionals. Being CISA-certified showcases audit experience, skills, and knowledge; and demonstrates the capability to assess vulnerabilities, report on compliance, and institute controls within the enterprise.

With the CEH and CISA programs, students also receive access to Stratford’s Center of Excellence (CoE), where they have the opportunity to receive significant hands on experience with state-of-the-art software solutions.
