Summer Books Are Important for Maintaining Reading Skills
Be Part Of Helping Kids Enjoy New Books Over Summer Break

Summer will be here before you know it and it’s a time when elementary students can lose a lot of ground if they don’t keep reading over the break. Assistance League of Northern Virginia helps students at the low-income elementary schools we serve continue reading during the summer by making new books available each month while school is out.
Please help support Assistance League in this effort by making a selection from our April Wish List. This month’s New Books for Kids Wish List includes popular favorites for young children such as Good Night Moon and Corduroy, as well as “I Survived” books describing historical events. The list also includes sports-focused book sets to appeal to the sports enthusiasts and well as several bilingual books. There is something for every grade level.
Use this link: https://tiny.alnv.org/7gs or scan the QR code on the flyer to make a selection. Please select the Assistance League of Northern Virginia as the shipping address to assure prompt delivery. If you would prefer not to order through Amazon, you can pay by personal check for these items. Please send your check, made out to ALNV, to P.O. Box 209, Herndon, VA 20172 and include "Wish List/month" in the memo line (e.g., if you order in April, please write Wish List/April).
