AT&T Offers New Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Choice Plans for Alexandria Residents

AT&T made a pretty big change to its unlimited wireless plan offering a couple of weeks back, enabling its customers to get unlimited on a standalone basis. Well, AT&T is back at it again, making unlimited wireless data plans even more attractive, especially for those who get, or have video service. It all began last Thursday, March 1. With “AT&T Unlimited Plus,” customers who choose to also subscribe to an AT&T video service – DIRECTV, DIRECTV Now or U-verse TV – will receive a $25/mo video credit. With the video credit, AT&T Unlimited Plus customers can sign up for DIRECTV NOW starting at $10 a month. The plan also offers one smartphone at $90 a month ($10 less than the previous plan), 10GB of mobile tethering and the ability to add a mobile hotspot.

For customers who have modest internet speed needs, AT&T also unveiled a $60/mo unlimited plan called “AT&T Unlimited Choice.” Again, the press release contains the details.

As of Thursday, March 1 the new plans are available to any existing or new AT&T customer – even those who started up with the new plans within the last couple of weeks. Just to reiterate, these new plans will be options that customers (including business customers) can choose. Here is an example how the AT&T Unlimited Plus plan breaks down:

AT&T Unlimited Plus – Single Line

First smartphone: $90/mo

With DIRECTV NOW: $100/mo ($90 + DIRECTV NOW at $10/mo after $25 monthly credit)

With DIRECTV: $115/mo ($90 + DIRECTV at $25/mo after $25 monthly credit)

AT&T Unlimited Plus – Four Lines

Four lines: $185/mo

With DIRECTV NOW: $195/mo ($185 + DIRECTV NOW at $10/mo after $25 monthly credit)

With DIRECTV: $210/mo ($185 + DIRECTV at $25/mo after $25 monthly credit)
